Up And Close With Ghana's Most Influential Celebrity; Michael Owusu Addo

'Hustle no dey sleep, hustle no dey nap, RIP laziness'. I guess this has been the single motivating factor Sarkodie had when he  entered the Ghanaian music scene.
He may have wanted to be as rich as Sarkodie, his father's friend and a name that definitely inspired arguably Ghana's all time superstar.
Sarkodie started from humble beginnings, freestyling at events and concerts for free and others for just t-shirts.
Sarkodie started gaining grounds after the 'Kasahari' show on Adom fm and when he did covers for 'out here grinding' i'm so hood and many other international hits.
He started with his 'twisting', even challenging Twista to a rap battle.
With determination, passion for excellence and a desire to achieve success, Sarkodie worked the extra mile and achieved the unblievable.
The biggest hurt Sarkodie could have done to his brand would have been the infamous convict deal.
Call it a contract irregularity or a blessing in diaguise, it opened the door for one of the illustrous sons of Ghana to put the then dying Ghana music on the map.
The whole of Ghana was so excited about that but a few actually felt he wasn't 'ripe' for the limelight then. Remember the Sways and Colby's who were then the shining stars of convict?? Well, nobody knows where their music is today.
That deal challenged Sarkodie to work harder and he difinitely achieved fame and the A-list celebrity status without convict.
After his first joint with Edem ft Kwaw Kesse (keva), Sarkoidie has become a household name.

After championing the 'azonto era', Sarkodie didn't lay back.
He decided it was time to go global so he released the Sarkology album featuring several Heavy weights in Africa: Davido, Banky W, Ice Prince, Silver Stone, Tiwa Savage and several other known artiste.
The two time VGMAs artiste if the year, the Samsung Galaxy pocket ambassador, the face of Funmilk and Ghana's most influential celebrity has achieved a status that generations will forever remember.
He has come to stay, I was among the many who said he wouldn't last but who am I.lol.
Sarkodie has become a brand that every artiste wants to associate with. A brand that dominates locally and making a great impact globally.
He has won the BET Best African Act, nominated twice and consecutively for the MAMAs and now also nominated for the best international act in the World Music Awards.
Sarkodie wasn't born in America but he will one day rock shoulders with Jagga, Yeezy, Weezy and probably truely 'murder' Twista!!!

AK Songstress Floors Becca, Mzbel and Co

Before writing this piece I have asked myself who the best female performer is in Ghana and to be frank it hasn't been easy settling on who the best is.
Just a few names may come up as far as the.best female is concern.
It is no other than Rebecca Acheampong better known in showbiz as Becca.
She is a muscian who knows her limits as far as crow control isconcern. She is gradually craving a niche for herself as a female force to reckon with. The only issue I have with her performances is the way she gets so emotional some times and tries to go over board when the crowd becomes electrifying.
Mzbel may be using 'nudity' and sex appeal to wow crowd during her performances, she is still one of the female acts that can turn a dead crowd into one worth witnessing.
She does so perfectly with her sexy approach but it seems a one way kind of style.
Besides the 'nudity' approach, she fumbles in a mature setting and she is definitely not the feminine act that can headline a show.
The stars of the future trio, Efya, Irene and Adine can't be left out of the few female stars who have good stage craft and crowd control.
the sexy and sassy African Neoul soul singer is gradually winning the hearts of many with her style and aggressive performance. She is full of energy and this is mostly seen in her singing prowess.
Irene, a typical reality star winner, does her performces to suit the crowd. She is an act who does her business on stage with passion and zeal. I am not surprised because most reality show winners are groomed to give interactive performances.
The list would be incomplete without the gospel Diva, Christiana Love. You are likely to tag her as a circular musician with her stage performnces. The energy, the crowd control and passion is so overwhelming.
So who actually is the best female performer???
The answer may be fast coming!!
Akosua Kwakye known in showbiz circles as Ak Songstress, the sensational up and coming dancehall musician may be the answer to the long time asked question.
At the VGMAs Nominees jam in Tamale when the crowd went almost dead, she was the singular 'star' that resurrected the lively energy in the crowd.
She understands what it takes to wow the crowd.
The 'dancehall Empress' as she calls herself gave patrons what they came for.
She was abled to assemble her dance moves inconsonance with her songs.
Yes she came on stage with a perfect stage craft, one that the crowd long desired. She brought out the energy that rythmed with the audience's.
Unlike the other acts of the night who were doing what I call the 'normal stroll', she brought out the best in her.
With good management, humility, and consistency, Ak Songstress will definitely go places!!

PAEDAE IS THE MOST UNDERRATED GHANAIAN RAPPER!!!

Rap music in Ghana has definitely come of age. In the Ghanaian music industry there are many acts that can hold it down when it comes to rap music. lyrically and content wise there are just a few that can match up the rap skills of Paedae.
Asem, the "WBD" protege has tasted the lyrical prowess of Paedae, the half duo of R2bees.
Tema is noted for producing high profile Ghanaian rappers. The sarkodies, the Kwaw Kesses, the Yaa Ponos, the Dadie Opankas, just to mention but a few.
One of the most underrated Ghanaian rap act of all time is Faisal Hakim AKA Paedae. He has been tagged the 'lamest' rapper and the man who rides on the lyrical abilities of Mugeez.
When they duo released their 'odo' song, many critics said he added no value to track and that his delivery was not the best. Well, like they say, 'opinions are like noses, even monkeys have some' and won't blame anybody for the name tag.
Any entertainment critique that has an issue with Paedae's raps is definitely having issues of grammar. Paedae is a rapper who delivers his punchlines in the English language, in fact mostly in urban language.
we all remember their hit demo 'yawa girl'. it was a hit not because of the chorus or Mugeez's hook but because of Paedae's punchlines. He delivers unrestricted lines and has a master control of the urban language.
Again, on their reply to Asem's diss, Paedae gave another reason to be called a rapper.
I am not arguing based on the fact that he is my favorite rapper, but because he is a rapper who is able to raise my emotions in every joint he features.
He is an act that when you are listening to his deliveries you would definitely need Urban dictionary to follow him and probably enjoy his music.
He knows how to interlace his lines and keep you hooked. He is best described as the Ghanaian version of Eminem.
In Ghana, there only a few rappers that have master control of the urban language. Notable amongst them are; M.anifest, C Real, EL, Jay Town, Rumor and M3nsa.
if you are amongst the those tagging paedae as a whack rapper just give a listening ear to these tracks......
Tema motor way, tema ft Sarkodie, S.O.L.O ft david and the all time hit demo, yawa girl.

Entertainment Review with Jeremy!!

Welcome to another saturday where we take you through a stroll of what happened in the Entertainment world in Gh and beyond. Remember your favorite celebrity lives here!!
To the very first story, and again we are starting from the movie industry.
John Dumelo expands his charity territory to Ireland!!
The Ghanaian actor is still making the waves that attracted us to him.  Dumelo kept on his twitter handle that he is off to Ireland for the premier of 'one night in Vegas' and the launching of his John Dumelo foundation in Ireland, Dublin. Dumelo we appreciate your charity efforts, keep the flames burning.

Ebi Bright says the Movie Industry if Full of Dishonest People!
The beautiful Ghanaian actress says the Ghana Movie industry is full of dishonest people who always try take advantage of others. The 'bed of Roses' actress says people in the industry are owing her to the tone of GhC 17,000. Hmmm! We pray they have pity on her in these trying times.
Unto the music world now!
Beautiful Ghanaian songstress, Eazzy has been hopping from Radio stations to Television Stations busily promoting her two singles.
Bad 2 the bone ft Edem and Emergency ft Stonebouy. The bad 2 bone tune is quite good but.....hmmmm I hold my reservations. The versatile songstress passed a 'funny' comment during her interview on the E-talk on Gh one t.v with Amanda Jissih. Eazzy said she expected to have been nominated for the artiste of the year in this year's VGMAs. Really???
Still on the VGMA dissatisfactions, Gasmila saids he expected his hit single 'three points' to have been nominated for the most popular song of the year!
According the singer cum choreographer, 'three points' topped charts in South Africa and Ghana (Gh one Rhythms).
Personally I feel Gasmila had enough and should let sleeping dogs lie. 'three points' wasn't released earlier hence the popularity of the song.
It is not the nomination but the song finds itself in a group of equally quality songs that it won't find its way out. I can bet that the hiplife song of the year will definitely not be 'three points'.
All the best anyways to Gasmila!

Shatta Wale in the News Again.
I guess he is used to all controversal issues surrounding him now. The self acclaimed 'dancehall king' is battling another allegations of purposefully dumping his mum and uncle after his claim to fame.
Bull haus definitely knows how to manage crisis and I am sure they will once again point accusing fingers at Samini.
Every dark side of Shatta wale is traced to Samini remember!!
Well, the family is currently praying for their son hoping the evil spirits that made him ditch them will leave him alone.
We wish the family all the best in their prayers and suggest they consider Prophet T B Joshua should their prayer hit the rocks.
Still on Shatta Wale, the 'enter the net' crooner is locking horns with the 'boys abr3' hitmaker, Guru for artiste of the year.
The two heavy weights lead the race to annex this year's prestigious award at the VGMAs. In the polls conducted by bigxgh.com, Ghana's fastest rapper, Sarkodie and the Dancehall king contender, Samini trail behind.
We at thghbuzz are rooting for Guru and hoping to hear Shatta Wale's second 'letter' to charter house. He is good at writing diss songs.lol.
Now something fresh and exciting!
Jesus Christ died for us and by his blood we are saved!. The easter is here again and as usual all roads lead to Kwahu were Shatta Wale will be headlining the celebration.
Ghana's all time Ga rapper, Tinny is creating something different and fun. He says you don't need to be at kwahu to have a feel of Easter.
He is headling the Easter jam at the kokrobite beach resort.
Yes it is an all heavy weight affair. Trigmatic, Episode and many stars will be treating fans to the best of easter music served in Accra.
Don't miss this golden opportunity if you are in Accra.
Yes the Beef between Roro and Grandpapa is gaining grounds. Roro seem to have waited so long for this opportunity to diss Grandpapa Reggie. In the latest media tussel, Roro described Reggie as an opportunist and not his co,equal. Really??? Guys, smoke the peace pipe for Christ sake.
Finally unto the Racism campaign
Ama K is stepping up here anti-bleaching campaign.
The bubbly actress/tv hostess says instead of pointing accusing fingers at who is bleaching or not, we should rather speak boldly on the issue.
Hmmmm, how do we speak boldly if we can't relay our facts.
Well, we hear oooo but we never said Yvonne Nelson, Nana Boro, Naan Acheampong or DL are bleaching but we think they 'hate' the black race.
More grease to your elbows.

This has been the  The Gh Buzz Entertainment review. Happy Easter and please visit as we keep you up and close with your favorite celebrity.

Ghana and Nigeria Face Off @ MTV Africa music Awards Part 2

In part one of this article, I gave a comprehensive review of the rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria.
The concluding part of the article continues to highlight the shine of the two West African music Power houses.
Another category that is sparkling the dominion of the two music giants is the best female category.

Bubbly songstress Efya has been nominated in the
'Best Female' category and she will battle that
category out with Arielle T (Gabon), Chidinma
(Nigeria), DJ C’ndo (South Africa), and Tiwa Savage
(Nigeria).
With the year under review the sexy Ghanaian had a couple songs that kept her brand in the lime light.
Notable was her hit single, 'the best in me'.
She released her T.I.N.T mixtape, which is a collection of singles that didnt make the cut for her upcoming album: Love Genesis.
The Ghanaian African neoul soul singer although did well in the year under review, her Nigerian counterpart seems to be on a whole different level.
Tiwa Savage was the toast of fans in 2013. The 'eminado' hitmaker ruled the female world in Africa for the year under review.
She has been a force to reckon with. Pushing many of the Male Nigerian superstars under her sleeves.
If Kelly Rowland searches you for a collaboration then it means you are not just an African hitmaker, but a global brand.
She is the singer that can make your song go viral with just a line or two in it.
I am a Ghanaian but I don't see Efya giving Tiwa Savage a run here.

Moving on from the female world, the 'azonto' crooner: Fuse ODG is here again. The UK based Ghanaian is definitely flying the flag of Ghana high.
The MOBO award winner; Fuse ODG has been
nominated in the 'Best Pop' category. Also
nominated in that category are, Danny K (South
Africa), Goldfish (South Africa), LCNVL (South
Africa), and Mathew Mole (South Africa).
I have no doubt that the 'million pound' hitmaker will bag in the award.
Thghbuzz wishes our Ghanaian superstars the best and we hope they come home after june 7 with all 5 awards (which is a mirage)!!

Ghana and Nigeria face off at MTV Africa music Awards

The rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria seems to be in every sphere. From hockey, football, movies to music.
Nigeria has always dominated in most of these areas of competition but their neighbours seem to be on their toes now and dotting their 'i's and crossing their 't's to withstand the pressure from our neighbouring brothers and sisters.
Nigeria have craved a niche for themselves in the movie industry.  Being the backbone of the African movie industry and grooming most of Africa's finest acts.
In the music industry, the competiton is stiffer than the movie industry. Nigeria can't boast of having same dominance as they have in the movie industry.
Talking about some of the crowd- pullers of Nigeria: the D'banjs, the MIs, the Ice Princes, the Tufaces, the wizkids, the Davidos and the list is definitely endless. These are superstars have huge local and internationally followings, made a couple of international collaborations. Not just collborations but top chartting ones of cos.
Like our Nigerian counterparts, Ghana equally have a good command in the music industry. Some of the finest acts Africa has withnessed.
They have graced some of the biggest stages in Africa and performed alongside some of heavy weights in the hip hop world.
The sarkodies,R2bees, Fuse ODGs, Asems, VIPs,Saminis, Shatta Wales, Efyas and again the list is as tall as....
Ghana and Nigeria are topping the MTV Africa Music Awards nomination list.
R2bees, the Ghanaian duo, proving the point that they are not just a group but the 2013 Ghana Music Awards artiste of the Year. R2Bees will face stiff competition from Amani ft
Radio and Weasel – ‘Kiboko Changu’ (Kenya/
Uganda), Diamond feat Davido – ‘Number
One’ (Remix) (Tanzania/Nigeria), Mafikizolo feat
May D – ‘Happiness’ (South Africa/Nigeria), and
Uhuru feat DJ Buckz, Oskido, Professor, Yuri Da
Cunha – ‘Y-tjukutja’ (South Africa/Angola), for that
award.
The Ghanaians definitely stand tall in the list and most likely to Annex the pretigious award.
Well, the only song likely to give the duo the hurdle is 'number one'...Diamond ft Davido. This song is great by all standards, super sweet lyrics.
If I were to bet on the hip hop album, I will definitely take a pass.
I have two African rappers to choose from.
Ice Prince.Zamani and the man behind the Sark brand, Sarkodie aka Obidi pon bidi.
For those who haven't listened to the 'fire of Zamani album, the one that actually got him the nomination, here is a gist of it.
It contains so many great tunes. Notable amongst them are; aboki, vip, komotion ft Wizkid, I swear ft French Montana and lot more. Currently signed to chocolate city and Universal music group. Yes he is the best sellable rapper in Nigeria and has an urge over Sarkodie in this category.
Sarkology which was released december last year definitely put Obidi pon bidi on the map.
'Dope' songs including 'preach ft Silvastone, ordinary love ft Tiwa Savage, Down on one.ft Fuse ODG and lot more that definitely help the Ghanaian chart topping artiste on level with Ice Prince Zamani.
Sarkodie is a versatile rapper, he can 'murder' both slow and fast temper beats.
Africa's fastest rapper and Ghana's pride is definitely proving a point that language can't be a barrier in music.
.......watch out for part 2 of the MTV Africa Music Awards Review.

Rebranded V.I.P(VVIP) Off To A Controversal start!!

Ghana music is definitely better than years ago. Remember the days of Jay Q( breaking bottles), Sugar tone and then appietus surfaced!!
Those were the days when M3nsa, the half duo of the Fokn bois also made his breakthrough in music production. Anyways, he went unnoticed. The man that stole all is shine was Grandpapa Reggie Rockstone.
He was the man who came out with the Ghanaian version of Hip hop (mix of comtemporary high life and hiphop rhythms).
We were all excited when news broke out that he was joining VIP after Promzy exited the group. This sounded like a joke till he proved doubters wrong when they released their first single 'selfie'. As expected, of the three heavy weights, fans wanted something definitely off -the-hook.
Some of us still see the song as 'dope' but others argue.
Well, Reggie got furious when a sound producer/Engineer called the song a 'substandard'.
Roro might be right but the issues grand papa has with Roro are pretty simple.
First of all Roro went about the whole issue very wrong. Grandpapa expected Roro to have called them first and possibly offered alternatives to the 'poor' production he opined.
Second of all, Grandpapa sees Roro's comments as a cheap publicity stunt for the defunct member of VIP; Promzy.
Apparently Roro is the Engineer working on Promzy's album and so he doesn't see it beyond the publicity circles.
They both might be right, but I feel the current media tussel is not the best of choice to handle the issue considering their social media followings.
Personally I feel if it is a publicity stunt by Roro, then he definitely got it wrong. It will benifit the VVIP camp more.
This media roar is openning the door for the song to go viral!!
Read excerpts of Reggie Rockstone's interview below.

Reggie Rockstone vomited chilly words at Roro.
“Don’t mind Roro! Don’t mind him! When was
the last time you Roro gave us a hit! When was
the last time you gave us a hit record?
First, you Roro, you are not my co-equal. Two,
when I started making music, you Roro, you had
not even bought a drum machine! Three, am I a
sound engineer? Four, Roro, if you hear say
something no correct about your brothers dema
music, you could not pick your phone and call
us and tell us that there’s something wrong so
we should bring it for you to tighten it so we
can also part something (money) to you.Or you
(Roro) can say the mix is not correct cos you are
a professional. Roro did not do that, instead,
you took your opinion to the media; what
importance will that bring? Why do you go to
the media and say that? You Roro, you have not
made a cut for how long……you have recorded
Promzy since he left VIP.
Where is Promzy’s song? Who has heard it? Have
I resorted to the media to say anything? Have I
said the song Roro recorded for Promzy is
a…..This is a short cut for publicity and it’s a
cheap publicity stunt. We (VVIP) do not respect it
and he has also broken the oath of brotherhood
and friendship”
Roro apparently phoned through to clarify issues but Reggie was so 'mad' to grant him the chance and like Grandpapa said he should reaort to the media and Roro pulled the trigger too...
Check how Roro reacted to Reggie's comments.....
“Reggie rockstone is
calling me a snitch hahahahahahaha who
snitches more than him. Hypocrite and an
opportunist who always wana capitalise on any
given chance. Come and i will show u what good
music is. He just lost ma respect for him. Bring
it on I’m waiting. Grand papa (tweaaaaaaaaa).”

Shatta Wale's Father Disowned Him???

They say people who live in glass houses must not throw stones.
You still remember the infamous beef between Shatta wale and Samini??
The 'letter to charter house'? The '66th letter to Samini'?
Well Shatta just got served in a letter addressed to him by Mr. Logic titled 'tribute to Bandana.
In case you don't know know who Mr. Logic is, He is a member of the original Shatta Movement and former manager of Shatta Wale.
When Bandana now Shatta Wale, missed the reggae/dancehall song of the year to Kaakie of Xtra Large music, he released a diss song to both organisers of the award scheme and Kaakie.
Well, Shatta Wale's claim to fame of tagging Samini as enemy of progress is beginning to hunt him back!
Shatta Wale is an act that a has a raw unique and authentic talent but his share arrogance and baseless accusation of of Samini seem be hitting the wrong edges.
Mr. Logic extensively take us through a stroll of Shatta Wale we may have never heard.
Shatta wale has been accussed of dumping the movement that had his back as far as 1992 when his father disowned him.
Call it the suprise of all. I have watched several interviews of shatta Wale (with Amanda Jissih of E talk, Pope Skinny of Adom fm on the famous Kasahari show) where he said he is a 'dada bee'!
If Shatta Wale has been disowned how come he constantly calls hinself a 'dada bee'! We leave that to the birds to answer.
Another allegation meted at Shatta Wale is the issue of 'payola'!
Mr. Logic accussed the self acclaimed dance hall king and the Bullhaus Protege' of paying DJs and media houses to hype his songs and personality.
In the tribute Mr. Logic says he pays the media for the fame but he Shatta Wale can't pay him. This is an issue that has been leveled against Shatta Wale for a very long time and this is probabily the time for him to clear the air.
The original Shatta Movement Family says they can't back lies and foolishness. Talking about lies, are they referring to Shatta Wale's allegations against Samini?? Well, I am sure in the next tribute to Bandana Mr. Logic will properly address issues.
Though Shatta Wale has not officially reacted to the diss song, we hope he won't change focus like Samini never changed focus when Shatta Wale and the world were at his throat.
I won't be suprised if Shatta Wale replies Mr. Logic but pray and hope he receives the tribute from Mr. Logic in good faith.
Remember when you throw a ball at a wall it bounces back to you!!
This article is no hate sort of; Though I admire the energy and creativity of Shatta Wale, I am reporting what I am previliged to have heard.
My passionate appeal to dancehall acts is that the genre has a come a long way so they should channel their energies towards a colloboration that will explode in Africa and beyond.
Beefing in music is good but it should be healthy and sell their brands globally!!
Dancehall music is bigger than Shatta Wale, Samini or Mr. Logic, lets not destroy what we have toiled to create in our industry.......

Open Letter to Charter House

OPEN LETTER TO CHARTER HOUSE.     every venture industry or institution's primary aim is to get bigger and better with time, charter house I suppose share the same ambition, I'm however sorry to inform you  that you are on the wrong train, a train prolly moving towards the desert, charter house for the past years has kept on depreciating in standards and they seem to be playing blind at that. VGMA 2014, though I'm not a dooms day prophet, I envisage it being the worst music awards of all time. It is now very obvious one needs to be related to a member of charter house or may be "pay his/her dues"  to be nominated, you even go to the extend of using the VGMA as a publicity stunt for your relatives.....how annoying!!!, I therefore wish to inform you that you need a complete overhauling of your ideologies if not your crew. or ELSE........????. I know for sure you are aware of certain individuals who are found in categories they do not deserve to be found, because for each category, there is at least one undeserving nominee, STEP UP YOUR GAME and prepare well for VGMA2015 because VGMA2014 is already a flop!!!

Theghbuzz entertainment review

Theghbuzz brings you an exclusive round up of activities that occurred during the week.
We start off from the movie industry where AMAA award winning director, Shirley Frimpong Manso is set to premier yet another classic from her sparrow productions ;”love or something”. Staring, Joselyn Dumas, John Dumelo, screen goddess Christabel Ekeh, O C Ukeje and Nana Mensah. The movie which was produced by Ken Attoh, premiers on the 17 of April at the National theatre. It will definitely be another mind blowing classic from the award winning director!!!
……………And onto the music world, this week seemed to be a week full of new releases! May be because Easter is around the corner.
Irene Logan refreshes her career Irene of Irene and Jane fame has released visuals for her new single ‘fell in love with the devil’. The songstress who is undergoing rebranding said she is charting a new trend so fans should expect a new Irene and the best of music from her new album; REBIRH……well, Lil Wayne’s Rebirth album sold massive, hope hers does too!!
Still on new releases for the week, the Vera hit maker D Black has teamed up with silky voice man; Castro to produce a banger! Personal person. When a great rapper gets a silk y hook on his joint expect a smoking hot classic. Tema Boys are still dominating the Ghana music scene!
2013 artiste of the year seemed not to be so satisfied with their few accolades and they are definitely getting it right with their love songs. R2bees, the Tema based duo have released visuals for their new track ‘killing me softly’. Mugeez definitely knows how to turn the ladies on with is soothing voice. You know Paeday is the best English rapper we have in Ghana (my opinion). He gave a good lyrical delivery on their new song.
DJ Breezy on the Rise!!
He is definitely hitting his keyboard keys right. The ‘tonga’ beat maker has once again produced two great songs to his collection. When you have V.V.I.P recording in your studios it means you can really hold it down any day anytime.
Talking about V.V.I.P they have released their first single as a 'reformed' group. Ooooh, you are lost right!!! When hiplife grandpapa said he was joining V.I.P we thought it was just another publicity stunt. Well, Reggie Rockstone has officially cemented his position in the group after the departure of Promzy. The 'reformed' group released their debut joint; ‘selfie’. No need to be told it is a banger because three heavyweights won’t settle for less. Sarkodie is truly putting Ghana on the map. Sarkodie teamed up with the newest member of Universal music group: Ice Prince Zamani for a mind blowing hip hop song titled ‘ shots on shots’. It is shots on shots for real. You can’t have two BET award winning acts on a joint and expect less. The video was directed by Nana Asihene of real house philms. What all can stop obidi apart from God???
E L refuses to let Azonto go!!! Many thought the Azonto reign was over with the introduction of alkaida. Well Elorm Anagbalah better known in showbiz as EL has released a chart topping azonto song. The ‘’One Ghana for your pocket’’ man calls his new song ‘yaa bi’. EL wants the fans to enjoy the Easter in a grand style. If EL is on the song then it is definitely going to be craaazy Charlie.
Highgrade Family: trend setters!!!
Samini did something really amazing on Friday when he posted on his facebook page an advertisement for employment. The Money biz crooner for sure has a good heart. In these trying times, when the government is bitterly complaining of the increasing wage bill, Samini decided to let his fans know first that they will always have a special place in his heart. Yes!! He is ready to offer employment to qualified funs who can manage his new pub in Dansoman: Dancestardom. Fans were so elated about the offer. I might as well jump on the wagon but hey, I love nursing and it feels good to be a nurse.
I love my Samsung Galaxy S(1).... Samsung Ghana finally unveiled the much awaited 5 generation of the Galaxy series. For the phone freaks, the Samsung S5 offers superior picture quality-16mega pixels and an enhanced user interface to edit and share photos.
The Samsung S5 was unveiled at the silver lounge of the Accra Mall.
This has been a summary of the week activities!!!! #Yourstruly. #Daniel Jeremy th

D2 Betrays Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale has been a pin in Samini's ass. Creating a negative impression about the high grade family protege'. There hasn't been a Shatta Wale interview or media encounter without a word about the dark forces of Samini, who wants his downfall. This has also heightened tension among fans of Shatta Movement and highgrade family.
One would just need to follow Samini or Shatta Wale on social media to see the deadly comments their fans pass.
On the TV3 Newday program, D2 who were the guest on the entertainment segment of the program gave an insight of their carreer.
Asked by the host of th program how they started, they mentioned their high school group 'dadabeez'as being their first ever musical venture.
Shatta Wale, they said was a member of the group but decided to go solo.
The Dansoman based duo who released  'backside' with the 'tonga' man; Joey B said their new single will top charts and encouraged fans to listen to it.
They denied the song contained explicit lyrics (you don't need a soothsayer to tell you when you have Joey B on your joint).
The duo thanked fans for staying loyal and promised to give them the best of music.
They also gave shout out to Samini and kaakie for supporting them in thier carreer.
Really??Samini supporting them on their carreer? We thought Samini was the 'wicked' type, the one that never wanta to see 'the brother eat'.
Well, this confirms suggestions that the beef between Samini and Shatta Wale are more than we think, the beef is definitely beyond music!!

Why shatta Wale can't win Artiste of the Year!!

Musicians in Ghana are in their political season, massively canvassing for votes from fans and sympathisers.
Since the VGMA board unveiled this year's nominationees, many entertainment fanactics and pundits have strong conviction that Shatta Wale will take the pretigious award of the night; artiste of the year.
I strongly believe that Shatta Wale will once again be given the singular opportunity to do what he does best. He will diss Charter House again because he has not got what it takes to win the artiste of the year.
For sure he can easily brush off fellow contenders like Guru, Kwabena Kwabena, Castro and Sonnie Badu, his biggest hurdle will be how to cement his self acclaimed dance hall king title since Samini: the man whose name Shatta rode on to stardom once again is in the same category.
The year under review was great for shatta, because he had chart-topping tunes.
Dancehall king, enter the net, everybody likes my thing, hot cake and many other great songs were churned out by shatta wale unlike Samini who did covers to tracks released by other artistes.
Comparatively, Shatta may have little edge over Samini.
Performance wise, Samini rocked every show Shatta performed and I needless remind you of Samini's Stage craft and energy on stage. He knows how to wow crowd with his live band performances.  One of Samini's performances grabbed the headlines and Shatta even threatened to sue the newspaper for calling his performance wack and a flop.
Like I said, Shatta may have a little edge over Samini , charter house won't escape another diss song because Shatta can't win the prestigious award.
My reasons are simple!!
Ghana's all time fastest twi rapper and disappointed convict star 'obidi pon bidi deserves the artiste of the year and he will beat all his contenders hands down.
Ever since he hit the limelight, he has never looked back. Producing smash hits after hits both locally and outside Ghana. Sarkodie is one of the few mature artiste pushing Ghana music to the extreme. The two time VGMA artiste of the year and BET awarding winning superstar released popular songs in his sarkology album. Down on one ft Fuse ODG, illuminati, pun the ting ft W Banky, ordinary love ft Tiwa Savage and several other hit songs.
The 'azonto fiesta' crooner stands tall in annexing the artiste of the year award.
He has a unique and mature branding technique and works for what he gets.
Sarkodie would never use a fellow musician to stardom, Sarkodie is always a plus for the corporate worlf. This has seen him sign deals with fanmilk Ghana, Samsung Africa, and many other endorsment deals.
With the year under review, the highest earning Ghanaian star has headlined all the big events from the guinness big eruption concert to the Musiga Allstar concert.
Releasing quality motion pictures of his songs and making donations to charity homes.
I know and you know and we all know, the fastest rapper and fashion designer definitely scores more points to beat all his contenders to the award.
I am pretty sure Shatta will make a remix of his infamous 'letter to charter house', may be this year it will be........... Your guess is as good as mine!!

Maturity in music

There have been instances in the entertainment industry  where musicians jabbed words at each other mostly harsh in retaliation for unfovorable comments from other heavy weights in the industry.
We all still remember the infamous Samini Shatta wale beef. There have been counter hate messages on social media.
The question that buffles my mind are these healthy for our struggling industry.
Just a few musicians have behaved maturely in reaction to hate comments from fellow industry players. A worth following one was the response of Sarkodie to Samini's pink shit. Sarkodie showed maturity and respect to the scatter badmind crooner, saying Samini paved the way for them with his MOBO award.
Recently, there have been several social media feuds and latest amongst them is the beef between the boys abr3 hitmaker and Laxio.
Laxio described Guru as a liar and a rap that makes to sense lyrically.
In response Guru said he respects Laxio for the beats he makes but doesnt know Laxio as a noise maker.
Guru's response was so mature and.one that can definitely make Laxio bow in shame.
Maturity in handling beefs makes the industry healthy and better.
I am against hate comments, are you for or against?
Drop your comments in the comments box.

Christopher Attoh, better known in showbiz as Chris Attoh has once again put all the doubting Thomases to sleep.
There were wild allegations that Chris was impotent and could not do the honourable thing ladies so much desire.

Being the CHANGE!!

Like the famous American qoute 'ask not what my country can do for me, but what I can do for my country', a group of young graduates took it upon themselves to drive an agenda of change. A positive change that will evolve from entertainment. A platform where the your are challenged to champion the cause of change, a platform where the youth sets the roads straight for development.
And like a typical Ghanaian community where entertainment is so dear to the hearts of thr youth, motioncrew decided to embark on a project in which most industry experts said was a suicide mission...miss buluk!
Contestants were challenged to identify a problem each in the district and offer a solution that is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound.
The contestants identified seven problems and offered SMART solutions as well.
The problems identified include
Drug abuse
Female genital mutilation
Urban migration and the effects
Falling standards of education in the district
Illegal abortion
Teenage pregnancy.......
Beauty was a criteria but one needed beauty with brains to be on top form towards annexing the crown. Sabina Asianab combined beauty with brains and exceptional cultural diversity and was crown miss buluk. Helen A and Dorcas A were also afjudged second and first runners up respectively.
The event witnessed several musical and Dance interludes. Amongst them was the all time Buluk critically and lyrically acclaimed king of builsa music, Aboalik Kwame, Junior jackson and many more.

Joey B formatting

Talks have started making the rounds that Joey B
of ‘Tonga’ fame is secretly going out with Deborah
Vanessa, kid sister of controversial gypsy musician
Wanlov.
Deborah Vanessa shot to fame after her ‘Uncle
Obama’ hit single and she has consistently carried
herself as though she was not dating.
Though she has not passed any comment by way
of confirmation or denial of her reported
relationship with Joey B, NEWS-ONE gathered the
two have been together for close to a year now.
When the question was put to Joey B recently on
public television, it seemed to have caught him
off guard and all he could do was giggle and say
he never saw that question coming.
The ‘Tonga’ hit maker could not deny his alleged
relationship with the ‘Uncle Obama’ lady, saying
they were friends.

The irony of a Gh girl

Social media has presented ladies of today a dare needed opportunity to express frelings that are non existent. Going through some of whatsapp female friends' status updates makes me wonder where they would have expressed these non existent feelings.
In the beginning was thghbuzz and in the end it wont be based on cheap stories, it ll be on matters of societal concern, matters that attract our attention and matters of fun, entertainment and matters that really matter. Its yours truely.....Daniel Jeremy!
