M.anifest Defends VGMA Rapper Of The Year @VGMA industry Awards Night

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards industry awards came off yesterday at the plush Alisa Hotel.
This was a non public voting category to honour our galant men and women who strive on daily basis to put Ghana music where it is today.
The event was graced by dignitaries including the CEO of Charter house, Mr. Ayoade, Deputy Minister of Tourism and creative Arts, Miss Dzifa Gamashie, MUSIGA president, Bice Kufour and several other industry players.
The event as usual came off on a Ghana Man time. It started with the red carpet which was hosted by Blaq Boi, the host of Rhythms. The 2131 protege' did not disappoint.
Several industry players passed through including the former MUSIGApresident, Mrs Diana Hopeson, Richie, CEO of Lynx, Mzvee, Densi, and several other celebrities.
there were some electrifying performances from musical acts worth remembering.
So phenomenal of the night was M.anifest, the reigning VGMA rapper of the year. when a person does music with passion, trust the person to deliver no matter the setting.
Akwaboah and the rest did their thing on stage, but M.anifest treated patrons to a night of Hip Hop made in Ghana, Medina to be precise!
He has definitely come of age in the showbiz industry. He poured his heart out in a performance critiques describe as 'spectacular, awesome, dope!!
He was the man that kept KOD dancing on his seat and yes Obour kept echoeing the name M.anisfest.
Yes the North was represented full blooded. Densi, the trio from Tamale kept the audience repeating their signature move 'Tamale Kawula'. They proved on the night why they deserve to win the traditional artiste of the year.
The main event which was hosted by George Quaye of the 'pundits' fame was full of glamour and humour.
Notable amongst the awards was the MUSIGA merit award which was presented Madam Orkor Amattafio for here contribution to MUSIGA and Ghanaian music at large. In her acceptance speech, she gave out an emotional message dedicating the award to Kwaw Ansah for his contribution to bring Ghana music to the lime light.
Another prestigious award went to Uncle Ebo Taylor for the LifeTime Achievement Ward.
The Gh¢3000 World Bank money went to Kwabena Kwabena for his 'save a life' song.
Gasmila and Raphius both took home Gh¢1000 for developmental song category.
